That “off” feeling isn’t in your head. It’s the comedown from a portal and an eclipse landing four days apart.
So, if the last few days have felt like wading through fog, you’re not alone.
You might be a little foggy or wrung out, or weirdly emotional over nothing, unable to hold a thought for more than ninety seconds. You’re not imagining it. You’re just integrating.
This is the same deal as always. The portal or the peak gets all the hype, and nobody talks about what happens after.
Why this eclipse hits different

Here’s the thing about this particular window. You’re not integrating one activation, you’re integrating two.
The Lion’s Gate portal landed on 8/8, and this eclipse happened four days later.
If you’re feeling extra scrambled, that’s probably why.
(If you haven’t already, my Lion’s Gate integration post covers that first wave. It’s worth a read if this feels like it’s stacking on top of something you never quite finished processing.)
What’s actually happening

Quick reminder about about eclipse season.
Eclipses don’t work like New Moons. New Moons invite you to gently plant something.
Eclipses crack something open whether you’re ready or not.
So what you’re integrating right now isn’t excess energy. It’s whatever got revealed. That generally takes longer to metabolize than a wish.
What eclipse integration can look like

- Fatigue that sleep doesn’t quite fix
- Sleep that’s disrupted, or unusually vivid
- Moods that swing without warning
- Emotions sitting closer to the surface than usual
- Clarity that shows up three days late, fully formed, like it was waiting for you to be ready
All of that is normal. None of it means something’s wrong.
A caution about eclipses

This is the part I’ll repeat until I’m blue in the face. If you can…don’t make any big decisions yet. Don’t send the text. Don’t quit the job at 11pm on a Tuesday.
Clarity that arrives mid-activation isn’t always the clarity that holds. I’d give it a few days to see if what you’re feeling still feels true to you once the dust settles.
What to actually do after an eclipse

Nothing fancy. This is exactly the territory my nervous system reset toolkit already covers.
I’m talking grounding, breathwork, the basics.
Your job right now is regulation, not achievement.
If shadow work stuff is still surfacing

If you did any of my 21 shadow work prompts and something’s still rattling around, don’t panic!
That’s not a sign you did it wrong. Integration takes a while. It’s not a one-and-done event.
In fact, it tends to resurface for days, sometimes longer.
That’s the process working, not stalling.
How long post-eclipse fog may last, and the reframe

Give it a week, maybe a little more if you’re extra sensitive to this stuff.
And here’s the reframe I want you to leave with. Integration isn’t the boring part after the “real” work.
It is the work.
The activation cracks the door open. Integration is you actually walking through it.
